Points and Bidding Draft System
- For the draft, each coach will be given 400 points at the start for spending on their Free Pick players for the season. There is no order (by tier) that will be enforced during the draft.
- Each team is required to draft the following as shown on the spreadsheet:
- Tier 1 (x1)
- Tier 2 (x1)
- Tier 3 (x2)
- Tier 4 (x1)
- Tier 5 (x1)
- Mega
- Free (x4)
- Free Picks can be from any regular tier as long as team has sufficient points for the remainder of their draft picks. These picks are the only selections that teams will make using points.
- If a Mega of a lower Mega Tier is drafted, it will grant additional points to spend on Free Picks.
- Any Pokémon not on the list, but has a Pokémon from the same evolutionary chain on the list, that Pokémon is assumed to be the lowest tier.
- Each team is required to draft the following as shown on the spreadsheet:
- Coaches are not required to spend all of their points during the draft, but they are required to draft 11 players for their lineup.; no more and no less than 11 players will be allowed, so plan ahead!
- For each turn, a coach may pick a player they would like on their team. The draft will be first-come first-serve for picking players.
Draft Format
- The draft will be hosted on Discord using the #draft text channel (for those unable to attend in-person or join the voice channel), #draft voice channel (if unable to attend in-person), or in-person at the specified location mentioned in Discord. If a response is not given within 45 seconds on a coach's turn to pick a player over the Discord text or voice channels, the coach will lose their pick for that turn and will be able to make it up after the conclusion of the draft. Therefore, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that every coach be part of the audio call for the duration of the draft.
- During the draft session, make sure to mute your microphone until it is your turn to pick a player or you have an important question for the moderator.
- Each coach will have a chance to pick 11 Pokemon. The pick order will be randomized the first time and will alternate the order in reverse for the 2nd round of picks, then in the same order of the 1st pick for the 3rd pick, and so on.
- Only Pokemon already in the tier list will be available in the draft at their respectively placed tiers.
- Once a Pokemon is picked by a coach, it is no longer available to anyone else for the draft.
- The team rosters will be posted to the Teams page following the conclusion of the draft event.
- Each player is only able to have one mega within their lineup (no alternating between mega's during the season!).
- There is no order enforced on which tier coaches should draft their players from. For example, if you have enough points you can draft an additional Tier 1 Pokemon for your last pick.
